1️⃣ Register your Cash Drawer

- Cash Drawer is opened by the printer sending a pulse. Please make sure that a printer is connected to the Cash Drawer with a DK Port cable
- Reboot Order Hub 🔄
2️⃣ Utilize your Cash Drawer
There are four actions available, some which are produced manually and some which happen automatically when accepting or refunding cash orders. All manual actions are triggered on the Order Hub.
Actions ⬇️
- Open: This is just a generic open where a user doesn’t take money in or take money out of the cash drawer. An example use case would be to give a customer two $5 for one $10. This event is triggered for Deposit, Withdrawal and Audit as well because these three cash events require the cash drawer to be opened first.
- Deposit: Deposit event is used when we are adding additional money (not associated with a purchase) into the cash drawer. An example use case would be adding a bunch of $1 bills to make it easier to give out change.
- Withdrawal: Withdrawal event is used when we are taking out money (not associated with a purchase) from the cash drawer. An example use case would be taking out some money at the end of day to move it to the bank.
- Audit: Whenever there is a cash event (manual and automatic), we keep track of how much money should be in the cash drawer. A restaurant owner should check occasionally (at the beginning and end of day) to verify the amount that’s in the cash drawer. To do this, the restaurant owner will specify the Audit event to open the cash drawer and update the amount that’s actually in the cash drawer.
